ENT cancer surgery
Cancer surgery is a speciality of ENT surgery, which essentially covers the following procedures: total laryngectomy, partial laryngectomy, suspension laryngoscopy, laser treatment, cordectomy, maxillectomy, oropharyngectomy, enlarged tonsillectomy, transmandibular or non-transmandibular buccopharyngectomy, cervical lymph node dissection, anterior or posterior pelvectomy, glossectomy, pelvi glosso mandibulectomy, endoscopy of the upper areal passages, panendoscopy, surgery for tumours of the veil and palate.
The aim is to eliminate and treat cancers in collaboration with oncologists, radiotherapists and chemotherapists.
They are mainly performed on adults.

Panendoscopy
Panendoscopy is used to better assess a tumour, cyst or polyp when it is difficult to examine in the consulting room because of its location. Panendoscopy is used to assess the extent of a tumour, polyp or cyst and to perform a biopsy on an area that is difficult to access. This surgical procedure, performed by an ENT surgeon on an outpatient basis, is suitable for both adults and children.
ENT cancers
ENT cancers are malignant tumours that develop mainly from the mucosa and sometimes from a pre-existing pre-cancerous lesion (dysplasia). Rare cases develop deep within glandular tissue, for example. They account for 12% of cancers in men and 2.3% of deaths, and 2% of cancers in women and 0.7% of deaths, i.e. around 15,000 new cases a year in France.
