Doctor Antoine Delagranda

Medicine was a childhood vocation, surgery an adult dream. The choice of ENT, one of the few medical and surgical specialities, was made during my postgraduate medical studies. I’ve never regretted this choice, which, despite being highly specialised, offers the opportunity for contact with patients.

Having spent my childhood in Brittany, particularly on its magnificent north coast, I’ve always seen the sea as an invitation to travel. This desire led me to enrich my medical practice with international and overseas experiences. After medical studies in Touraine and Brittany, an ENT internship followed by a 3-year clinic in New Aquitaine, the time had come for original experiences. From French clinics in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to hospitals in New Caledonia, Guyana and Reunion Island, the experience gained was rich and varied. More than 10 years of hospital practice in a university hospital, far from easy recourse in metropolitan France, combined with university responsibilities and the supervision of medical and paramedical teams, have forged my character and enabled me to deal with delicate medical situations calmly and effectively. But every doctor must be aware of his or her own limitations, and not hesitate to call on colleagues in the interests of the patient, who takes precedence over any personal considerations.

Constantly updating my knowledge and practices is a necessity that I do not shy away from, which is why I regularly attend medical conventions, take part in technical courses and personalized training sessions with colleagues all over the world, and am a member of learned societies related to ENT and cervico-facial surgery such as:

  • ISIAL International Sialendoscopy society
  • SFORL French ENT Society
  • AFR Rhinology french Society
  • SORLOI Indian Ocean ENT Society

With a view to perfecting the training provided by the hospitals and medical faculties where I lived, I took additional courses at other universities, certified by the award of diplomas such as:

  • University diploma of palliative care; University of La Réunion – Dr WALKER, Mrs PREVOST
  • Inter-university diploma of the principles of rhinology therapeutics; University of Paris V – Pr COSTE (Créteil), Pr BONFILS (European hospital Georges Pompidou)
  • University Diploma of Middle Ear Surgery – Pr BOBIN, Paris XI University
  • University Diploma of Surgery of Cutaneous Tumors of the Face Pr DARSONVAL, Angers University
  • Inter-University Diploma in Cervico-facial Carcinology – Pr LUBOINSKI, Institut Gustave Roussy, University of Paris XI
  • Interuniversity Diploma in Head and Neck Surgical Anatomy – Pr DELMAS, Docteur VACHER, University of Paris V and Paris VII
  • Master’s degree in science and medical biology:
    • C1: General physiology, Pr THOUVENOT, University of Tours
    • C2: Reproductive biology, Pr ROYERE, University of Tours
    • C3: Equivalence by competitive internship examination
